Who We Are
Artchemy Labs LLC ("we," "us," "our") is a Connecticut-registered company that develops and operates the Discord applications DodgeRoll, CodeClaimer, HotDrop, and Hootloot (collectively, the "Bots"), along with the website artchemylabs.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Information We Collect
Through the Bots: When you interact with our Bots inside Discord, we may process the following to deliver core functionality:
- Discord user ID, username, and avatar (as provided by Discord's API)
- Discord server (guild) ID and channel ID where a command was used
- Command inputs and resulting outputs (e.g. a rolled prompt, a claimed code)
- Timestamps of bot interactions, used for cooldowns and rate-limiting
We do not access, store, or read message content beyond what is required to process a slash command interaction, in accordance with Discord's Developer Policy.
Through the Site: We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. We do not collect personal information through artchemylabs.com directly. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts and, where applicable, a payment or support widget from Ko-fi — both of which may log IP addresses as part of standard web requests. We do not control this and recommend reviewing:
Premium Features & Payments
Some Bot features may be offered on a paid, subscription, or one-time-purchase basis ("Premium Features"). Where Premium Features are available, all payment processing is handled entirely by Discord's native monetization platform (Discord App Subscriptions) or, where applicable, a third-party processor such as Ko-fi. We never directly collect, store, or process your payment card information. Discord and our payment processors handle all billing data under their own privacy and security policies. We only receive confirmation of entitlement status (i.e., whether your account or server has access to a Premium Feature) — not your payment details.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above strictly to:
- Operate and provide the core and premium functionality of the Bots
- Enforce cooldowns, rate limits, and per-user/per-server entitlements
- Diagnose and fix bugs when reported
- Respond to support requests
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, resale, or any purpose unrelated to operating the Bots. We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to third parties under any circumstances.
Data Retention & Deletion
Operational data (such as roll history, claimed code records, or cooldown timestamps) is retained only as long as a Bot remains active in your server and is necessary for that Bot's functionality. When a Bot is removed from a server, associated server-level data is deleted automatically on a rolling basis. If you would like data deleted sooner, or have questions about what is retained, you may request this via our support server and we will address it on a best-effort basis.
Data Sharing
We do not share user data with third parties except: (a) Discord, as the platform on which the Bots operate and necessarily processes all interactions; (b) payment processors, solely for entitlement verification as described above; and (c) where required to comply with a valid legal request.
Data Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect stored data, including encrypted database connections and access-restricted hosting infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted to or stored by our services.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at, marketed to, or knowingly used to collect data from children under 13. Discord's own Terms of Service require all users to be at least 13 years old (or the applicable age of digital consent in their jurisdiction). If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a user under this age, we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of data we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, reach out via our Discord support server — our only point of contact. We address requests on a best-effort basis as a small, independently-run operation.
International Users
Our Bots and Site may be used by individuals located outside the United States. By using our services, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
Changes to This Policy
We may revise this policy as our products and legal obligations evolve. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date; continued use of our Bots or Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
